Being a Mom + Wife + Employee + Housewife + Student

Being a mom, wife, Employee, Housewife and a student can be very difficult. I am a mother of two beautiful sons and a wife of a loving husband. I am a full time student and a part time employee as well as a housewife.

Every morning after I drop my kids of at school I go back home to do the cleaning. After that I complete assignments or whatever homework I have that needs to be done. I than have to prepare dinner for my family because every evening I return home late due to classes that ends late at night. I have to drive all the way to and from Cape Town for classes every day.
When I arrive at home at night I need to get everything into place for the next morning.  As soon as my kids are settled in and ready for bed it is me and my books.

Flippit

Flippit is Oxford University Press Southern Africa’s newest app designed to help you study for your matric exams.

Each subject has been summarized into core concepts in the form of digital flip cards for you to learn on-the-go. Read the concept or identify the image on the front of the card and tap it to turn it over and see the explanation or image label on the back.

Each subject has been sorted into topics and subtopics as per the Curriculum and Assessment Policy Statements (CAPS). Study only those topics and subtopics that you need to brush up on. Select individual cards to repeat while studying.

Matric Second Chance Project 2016

As part of my Post Graduate Certificate in Education I need to complete an assignment for the subject, Professional Studies.

I was appointed to be a mentor for some of learners (mentees) who registered for the Matric 2nd Chance project.

Teaching Practice - April 2016

I did my first teaching practice for the month of April 2016 in my home town, Malmesbury. It was an amazing experience. I have worked very well with my mentors and students. My mentors assisted me in the best of their ability. My mentors were very passionate about their job and are those kinds of educators that touch other lives and make a difference.
