My path to becoming a teacher : Teaching Practice

I did my first teaching practice for the month of April 2016 in my home town, Malmesbury. It was an amazing experience. I have worked very well with my mentors and students. My mentors assisted me in the best of their ability. My mentors were very passionate about their job and are those kinds of educators that touch other lives and make a difference.

Life Orientation and Business Studies was my main subjects I taught. I taught the level 2 Office Administration students, Business Studies and to the Hospitality Level 2 and 3 students Life Orientation.

In Life Orientation I did theory on fitness levels as well as practical. The students were having lots of fun and most of them discovered their fitness, flexibility and endurance levels.

I accompanied the students to various workshops. The workshop I attended with the girls was presented by Cotex Pads and the workshop with the boys was presented by the health department.

I enjoyed my teaching practice and would love to form part of the staff from 2017.
